The world has been blue with mourning since learning of Prince’s passing Thursday, but now cities around the U.S. are lighting up purple to honor the late musician.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bridges in the pop star’s home state of Minnesota, where he died at his Paisley Park estate at age 57, \u00a0“reigned” purple in tribute.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bridges were also lit up purple in other parts of the country.<\/p>\n

The Superdome in New Orleans was lit purple, as well, just as it was when Prince performed there in 2014.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

City halls in Baltimore, San Francisco and Los Angeles also honored Prince.<\/p>\n
