In the days after the sudden death of the artist, the tragic event has inspired <\/span>a flood of tributes<\/a> around the world from fans and the music industry alike.<\/span><\/p>\n

Amid the many tweets and song covers, a “Purple Rain”–<\/i>inspired mural outside the youth centre Street University in Sydney, Australia stands as a permanent tribute to the artist.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The mural was painted by the artist Graham Hoete\u00a0on Sunday, according to his Facebook page,\u00a0Mr G Hoete Art<\/a>.
