It seems like you can’t turn around these days without seeing another award for<\/a>, reference to<\/a>, joke about<\/a>\u00a0or thinkpiece examining<\/a>\u00a0Lin-Manuel Miranda’s\u00a0Hamilton<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The new musical about America’s “ten dollar founding father” has struck a chord with audiences who are taken with the way it reimagines America’s founding, retelling the story with a hip-hop score and diverse casting. The show has been lauded for choosing nonwhite actors for its lead roles, giving us a black George Washington and an America that looks less like 1776 (or 1776<\/i>) and more like today.<\/p>\n
