Sometime in 1925, Boston Herald-Traveler<\/i> photographer Leslie Jones paid a visit to a local husband and wife with a newsworthy story\u00a0\u2014 their newborn infant was their thirteenth child. That made them a bit of an outlier at a time when the average family had around 2.3 kids.<\/p>\n
The names and details of the story have been lost, but Jones’ photographs capture the sprawling brood in detail, from the eldest teenage daughters to the new baby.
