Facebook has been under fire recently<\/a> over allegations that some of the contractors working on its “Trending Topics” had prevented conservative media outlets from showing up in the section.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, a document purporting to be Facebook’s internal guidelines for that section leaked, showing that while there is no top-down encouragement to ignore conservative media, its practices are heavily dependent on employees to pick the news.\u00a0<\/p>\n
