RANCHOS PALOS VERDES, California \u2014As Ferguson, Missouri was erupting in protest in 2014<\/a>, two men with little seemingly in common were drawn to the St. Louis suburb to see the action for themselves. It was Twitter that would later bring them together.<\/p>\n

One man was Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey and the other was nascent \u2014 and soon to be leading \u2014 activist DeRay Mckesson<\/p>\n

A St. Louis native, Dorsey explained at the Code Conference Wednesday that he went there with his family (who still lives in the city) to see what was going on, to stand on the street and listen to people, and to clean up trash from the protests. Read more…<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
