The Supreme Court ruled against a set of Texas abortion restrictions in a decision issued Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 5-3 ruling declared the regulations unconstitutional because they place an undue burden on patients and do not promote women’s health and safety as proponents of the laws had argued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The case,\u00a0Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, <\/i>is the most significant Supreme Court decision on abortion rights in nearly a quarter century.\u00a0<\/p>\n
