I\u2019ll be honest, my gut reaction \u2013 when hearing the reports that Apple is <\/span>in exploratory talks to acquire Tidal<\/a>, was “well, that would be great for Tidal.”<\/span><\/p>\n

After all, the music service owned by Jay Z, has been besieged by issues in its first year. After a disastrously tone-deaf launch<\/a>, the business side of the service has been plagued by\u00a0executive changes<\/a>. Then there are the lawsuits \u2013 both on the business side<\/a> and even from some of its users<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yes, the service has managed to grab some flashy streaming exclusives<\/a>,\u00a0but the service has also struggled<\/a> from tech fails<\/a> with those exclusives.<\/p>\n
