Garry Marshall, the producer, writer-director and sometimes actor who created Happy Days<\/em>, Laverne & Shirley <\/em>and Pretty Woman<\/em>, has died. He was 81.<\/p>\n

Marshall died Tuesday night of \u00a0complications from pneumonia following a stroke at a hospital in Burbank, California, Mashable<\/em> has confirmed with his publicist, Michelle Bega.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood legend made a name for himself in the 1970s creating such iconic TV sitcoms as Happy Days <\/em>and Mork & Mindy. <\/em>Later, he became known for directing box office hits including Pretty Woman <\/em>and The Princess Diaries.<\/em><\/p>\n
