LOS ANGELES \u2014 Veep’s <\/em>Peter MacNicol is no longer a 2016 Emmy nominee.<\/p>\n

The 62-year-old <\/em>actor, who was nominated for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his role as Jonah’s politically influential uncle, was disqualified on Thursday, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The reason for the rescinded nomination? MacNicol appeared in five out of 10 episodes in the HBO show’s fifth season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, according to TV Academy rules, an actor must appear in “less than 50 percent” of a season’s episodes in order to qualify for a nomination in the guest actor category. Awards website GoldDerby.com<\/a> first noticed the violation. Read more…<\/a><\/p>\n
