Dr. Mohd Nihra Haruzuan Bin Mohamad Said is a distinguished Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), renowned for his expertise in Educational Technology. With a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, a Master\u2019s degree from the University of Salford, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor\u2019s degree from UTM, he has built a strong academic foundation that underpins his impactful career in digital education.<\/p>\n
Since joining UTM in 2001, Dr. Nihra has been instrumental in advancing the university\u2019s e-learning ecosystem. He currently serves as Information Technology Manager at the Center for Advancement in Digital and Flexible Learning (UTM CDex), where he leads digital learning innovations that enhance the flexibility, accessibility, and quality of teaching and learning across the university. His leadership experience also includes serving as IT Manager at the Center for Academic Leadership (UTMLead, 2018\u20132021), and IT Manager at the Faculty of Education (2016\u20132017).<\/p>\n
During his tenure at UTMLead, he collaborated with UTMLead and UTMDigital teams to design and implement the Academic Leadership Support System, which drives three major initiatives: the Teaching Excellence System (TES), Strategic HR for Academic & Research Planning (SHARP), and the Academic Leadership Talent Management System (ALTM). At the university level, he manages eLearning@UTM, the online learning helpdesk, and the electronic teaching evaluation system (ePPP), ensuring seamless digital operations every academic year.<\/p>\n
Beyond administration, Dr. Nihra has shaped key educational policies and resources, co-authoring the Teaching and Learning Policy, the New Academia Learning Innovation (NALI) Handbook, and the Online Distance Learning (ODL) SIM Handbook. He also serves on critical committees, including the eLearning Committee and e-Content Committee, playing a vital role in setting UTM\u2019s strategic direction for technology-enhanced learning.<\/p>\n
Internationally, Dr. Nihra enriches his expertise with a Professional Training Certificate in New Media and Broadcasting Technology from the Communication University of China.
