Past research experience and current achievements

Citation indices

In 2008, I have actively involved in scientific research especially in chemistry area specifically in materials chemistry for environmental purposes. One of my successful paper entitled “Removal of Cr (VI) and As (V) from aqueous solutions by HDTMA-modified zeolite Y” have been cited by 69 authors. Results from this paper were obtained from my master project. Immediately after finished my master in chemistry, I have continued my study in PhD also in chemistry just only for 3 years and finished PhD at age 29. After that, I became a lecturer at Faculty of Biosciences and Bioengineering and later, senior lecturer at Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Until now, at age 31, I have becoming project leader for 6 research projects and 2 co-researchers with the highest amount of allocation granted was around RM 250,000 given by Ministry of Science, Technology and innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia and total allocation is around RM 610,000. I have 2 papers in national journal and 9 papers in international journals with cumulative impact factor (CIF) around 12.776. In other publication, I have 34 scientific articles that have been presented in various conferences. Regarding my Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), I have obtained 3 patents filling for 3 products (water filters and antibacterial agents). I have also actively involved in scientific associations mainly as associate in Malaysia Institute of Chemistry, senior member in Asia Pacific Chemical, Biology and Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES), member in International Zeolite Association (IZA), ex-member in Nanoporous and Mesoporous Materials for Biological Application Research (NAMBAR) Group, ex-member in Zeolites and Nanostructured Materials Research (ZNMR) group and current member in Novel Materials Research Group under Nanotechnology Research Alliances and also I was appointed as principle researcher at Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Studies, UTM. In other tasks, I was appointed as reviewer for Jurnal Teknologi (Cited by Scopus), Advanced Materials Research (Cited by Scopus) and also Materials Letter (IF: 2.307). My area of research involves application of zeolites as carrier system in agriculture (fertilizer), medical (antibacterial agent and biomaterials) and environmental (Adsorbent). Regarding postgraduate student, I have currently 2 PhD students and 7 master students by research with various research topics. At age 31, I already gained many achievements but efforts on getting more achievements are rocketing.
