Faculty Science, UTM, September 9, 2024 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) continues to emphasize the importance of Knowledge Transfer Programs (KTP) through its Faculty of Science, hosting a seminar focused on ongoing and completed KTP projects. The seminar took place at UTM HELiX, Aras 1, C17 Faculty of Science, bringing together academics, researchers, and industry partners.
The event began with a welcome speech by Chm. Dr. Mohd Firdaus bin Abdul Wahabr, Assistant Dean (External and Global Engagement) of the Faculty of Science, followed by an opening address by Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam, Deputy Dean for Research, Development, and Innovation. The seminar highlighted the significance of knowledge transfer as a bridge between academic research and practical applications in industries, communities, and governmental agencies. This event is also attended by representatives from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Centre for Community and Industry Network (CCIN), Mrs Siti Nurhafizah Soid and Mrs Nur Mazdiana Mohd Noor Azzaman.
Throughout the day, prominent faculty members presented their KTP projects, showcasing various innovative solutions that have been developed in collaboration with industry partners. Notable speakers included Dr. Siti Salwa Alias, Dr. Siti Pauliena Mohd Bohari, Dr. Mira Panadi, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lee Siew Ling, among others. The topics covered ranged from advanced scientific research to applied technologies, emphasizing the diverse contributions of UTM’s Faculty of Science.
The seminar provided a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and exploring new opportunities for further partnerships.
