On August 21, 2024, the Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) organized the “FS Research Seminar: Understanding Research & Innovation in FS” at Auditorium Al-Razi, UTM. The seminar, held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aimed to enhance the understanding of research and innovation in various scientific fields.
The event began with participant registration at 8:45 AM, followed by an opening speech by the Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation of the Faculty of Science. The seminar featured presentations from three major research centers, including CSNano, the Laser Centre, and UTM-CIAM.
Throughout the day, multiple research groups presented their work. Some of the key groups involved were the Applied Algebra and Analysis Group (AAAG), the Green Chemistry Research Group (GChem), the Climate Change Research Group (CCRG), and the Synthetic Biology Research Group (SynBio). Each group shared their research progress, providing participants with valuable insights into the latest scientific innovations.
The seminar also facilitated active interactions between researchers and participants, encouraging discussions on the latest developments in science and innovation. Additionally, it served as a platform for fostering collaborations among various research groups and institutions, further contributing to UTM’s role in advancing science and technology research.
Overall, the seminar successfully achieved its goal of enhancing understanding and promoting engagement in research activities, aligning with UTM’s efforts to strengthen innovation in the scientific field.
