Johor Bahru, 1st October 2024 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is proud to host an engaging sharing session featuring two distinguished researchers: ChM. Dr. Mohd Firdaus bin Abdul Wahab and Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam bin Nik Malek. The event, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM) and Faculty of Science (FS), took place at the Seminar Room, Block C23, FKM, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
This sharing session provided a unique platform for researchers, and academic staff to gain valuable insights from the experiences of Dr. Firdaus, a member of the Young Scientists Network (YSN) under the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), and Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam, a Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) 2023 recipient.
Dr. Firdaus, a YSN-ASM member, shared his journey and achievements in the field of chemical sciences, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary research and collaboration. Meanwhile, Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam, recognized as a TRSM awardee for his significant contributions to research and innovation, discussed strategies for developing impactful research projects and securing prestigious recognitions.
The event aimed to inspire young researchers and academics to pursue excellence in their respective fields while fostering a collaborative research environment within the university.
The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where attendees engaged in a lively discussion, gaining further insights into the challenges and opportunities in research and innovation.
