Johor Bahru, 1 July 2024 \u2013 The Faculty of Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is delighted to announce the appointment of Prof. Madya Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek as the new Deputy Dean (Research, Development & Innovation), effective from 1 July 2024.<\/p>\n
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam is a renowned figure in the academic world, recognized for his outstanding contributions to research and innovation. His expertise in chemistry, combined with his leadership skills, has significantly impacted UTM\u2019s scientific landscape. He was recently honored with the prestigious Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) award in 2023, solidifying his reputation as a leading researcher in the nation. Moreover, his dedication to academic excellence earned him the Anugerah Akademik Harapan UTM 2023, recognizing his promising potential in academia.<\/p>\n
In his new role as Deputy Dean, Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam will oversee the faculty’s research strategies, promote innovation, and lead the development of new initiatives that will enhance UTM\u2019s global research standing. With his extensive experience and track record of success, he is expected to propel UTM to new heights of scientific achievement.<\/p>\n
