UTM, Skudai, 6th August 2024 \u2013 A delegation from Johor Biotechnology and Biodiversity Corporation (JBiotech), led by CEO Dato\u2019 Hj Mustaffa Kamal bin Dato\u2019 Hj Shamsudin, visited the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory at Biosciences Dept., Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) today. The visit, which included five senior staff members, was part of an initiative to seek expert guidance and gather information on establishing a cutting-edge plant tissue culture lab in Johor.<\/p>\n
During the visit, UTM\u2019s Department of Biosciences provided a detailed briefing on lab design and essential equipment specifications necessary for a modern tissue culture facility. The delegation was also given a tour of the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, T02, UTM offering a firsthand look at the operations and layout of a functioning tissue culture lab. Further discussions between JBiotech and UTM are expected to follow, focusing on finalizing the design and determining the costs involved in setting up the plant tissue culture laboratory.<\/p>\n
