Johor Bahru, 27 July 2024<\/strong> \u2013 UniKL<\/strong> solidified its position as a leader in technological innovation at the 6th Digitalised International Invention, Innovation and Design (DIIID) 2024<\/strong>, where Ts. Dr. Mohd Aliff Afira Bin Sani<\/strong> and his team won top honors for their groundbreaking project, Agri Drone \u2013 Deep Learning Models for Crop Leaf Disease Detection on Real-Time Drone Monitoring<\/em>. This cutting-edge research earned the prestigious Best of The Best: Professional (Science Technology)<\/strong> award, showcasing UniKL’s<\/strong> commitment to driving impactful solutions in agriculture through technology.<\/p>\n

The project, spearheaded by Ts. Dr. Mohd Aliff Afira Bin Sani (UniKL)<\/strong>, along with Ts. Dr. Mohd Ismail Yusof (UniKL)<\/strong>, Ts. Dr. Nor Samsiah Sani (UKM)<\/strong>, Ahmad Adlan Bin Anuar (UniKL)<\/strong>, and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Chm. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek (UTM)<\/strong>, stood out for its innovative use of deep learning integrated with drone technology. This system enables real-time monitoring and early detection of crop diseases, offering a transformative approach to disease management in agriculture. By allowing faster response times and more precise interventions, this solution promises to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability.<\/p>\n

The collaborative nature of the project, which involved experts from UniKL<\/strong>, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)<\/strong>, and Urima University<\/strong>, was instrumental in its success. The interdisciplinary approach brought together knowledge from various fields, ensuring that the technology was both practical and scientifically robust.<\/p>\n

    The awards were presented by Assoc. Professor Dr. Saunah Zainon<\/strong>, Rector of Universiti Teknologi MARA Johor, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani<\/strong>, Rector of Universitas Lampung, during a ceremony on 1 August 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    This achievement highlights Ts.
