About me

Nik Rumzi Nik Idris received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wollongong, Wollongong, Australia, the M.Sc. degree in power electronics from Bradford University, Bradford, West Yorkshire, U.K., and the PhD degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Malaysia, in 1989, 1993, and 2000, respectively.
He is a senior member of the IEEE and was a past chair (2014-2016) of the IEEE Power Electronics Malaysia Chapter. Currently, he is a professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, the former head of the Power Electronics and Drives Research Group (PEDG) (2012-2023). He is also an Associate Editors to the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics.  His research interests include AC drive systems and DSP applications in power electronic systems.
