The Postgraduate Student Society of The Faculty of Electrical Engineering (PGSS-FEE) , Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) will organize a Postgraduate Online Structured Course (PGOSC) on (WebEx) platform.

The details of the session are as follows: The course will have two sections. Section one is entitled \u201c Machine learning and applications \u201d By Dr. Usman Ullah Sheikh, While section two is entitled ” A machine learning for environmental noise monitoring\/classification in smart cities ” By Mr. Ali Othman.

Mr. Ali Othman (Lecturer in the Dept. of Electronics and Telecommunications at the higher college of science and technology which belongs to the ministry of technical & vocational Education, Souk Al-Jumaa, Tripoli, Libya & The Chairman of CR Technology system ( CRTS group ) in the region of the middle east and north Africa.
Aims :
Machine learning background and its applications
The use of machine learning (ML) to categorize environmental sounds and soundscape maps that can assist relevant agencies and industries in decision and policy-making to mitigate noise pollution in smart cities.
Monitor and classification of the noise using python and MATLAB software
E-certification and UTM Merit will be given to participants
