{"id":1002,"date":"2016-03-08T00:50:39","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T16:50:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/people.utm.my\/norasykin\/?p=1002"},"modified":"2016-03-08T00:50:39","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T16:50:39","slug":"khazanah-watan-scholarship-programme-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/people.utm.my\/norasykin\/khazanah-watan-scholarship-programme-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"KHAZANAH WATAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Khazanah Watan Scholarship Programme 2016<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The Khazanah Watan Scholarship is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for talented and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading local universities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<div class=\"whandler\">\n<div class=\"ar-prg01\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">The aim of the Khazanah Watan Scholarship Programme is two-fold:-<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To train Malaysia&#8217;s brightest talents to transform its GLCs into competitive business locally and internationally<\/li>\n<li>To encourage individuals with excellent academic credentials to lead and participate in research initiatives that will contribute to the advancement of the universities&#8217; reputation for research and innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"whandler\">\n<div class=\"ar-sti01\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"whandler\">\n<div class=\"ar-prg01\">\n<ol>\n<li>Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><b>Criteria<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><u>Foundation Studies<\/u>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained a minimum of 8As (combination of A+ and A) in the recent examination<\/li>\n<li>Not exceeding 18 years of age as at the enrolment date for the foundation studies<\/li>\n<li>Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first semester of a Foundation programme at selected universities in Malaysia;<\/li>\n<li>Pusat Asasi Sains, Universiti Malaya<\/li>\n<li>Pusat Permatapintar Negara, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia<\/li>\n<li>International Islamic University Malaysia<\/li>\n<li>Multimedia University<\/li>\n<li>Universiti Tenaga Nasional<\/li>\n<li>International Medical University, KL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Undergraduate (Bachelor\u2019s Degree)<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree programme at renowned selected universities in Malaysia (Conditional offer can be considered)<\/li>\n<li>Obtained a minimum of 3As and 1B for STPM or GCE A-Levels or a minimum CGPA 3.50 \/ 4.00 for Pre-University or Diploma or Foundation or Matriculation Programme<\/li>\n<li>Not exceeding 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Bachelor\u2019s Degree programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Master\u2019s Degree<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained admission to pursue studies at renowned selected universities in Malaysia (Conditional offer can be considered)<\/li>\n<li>Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor\u2019s Degree<\/li>\n<li>Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Ph.D.<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Doctoral Degree programme at renowned selected universities in Malaysia.
