SINGAPORE, May 9<\/strong> \u2013 The Centre of Electrical Energy Systems (CEES), Institute of Future Energy (IFE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) organized an industrial visit to Delta Electronics Inti (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and Green Tenaga to strengthen partnerships and explore research collaborations in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Seven academic staff from CEES and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE) joined the visit, which featured company presentations on advanced energy technologies, a technical briefing by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Jasrul Jamani Jamian, and guided showroom tours. Delta, a global leader in energy-efficient solutions, and Green Tenaga, an innovator in green energy systems, showcased expertise in BESS, EV charging, solar PV, and smart energy platforms, sparking opportunities for joint research, technology transfer, and industrial supervision for UTM students. The program involved 100 students from five districts, supported by teachers, district STEM coordinators, UTM lecturers, and student mentors, who worked together to design IoT-based innovations aligned with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Implemented in three phases, the training included a two-day camp at UTM Johor Bahru and prototype development, culminating in the final competition on September 27.
