Just want to share a bit about our attitude towards something. Our attitudes towards something fabricated our behaviour to what we are doing, our concentration, and resiliency on many thing.
This morning, as usual, I fed pigeons with white rice at the back lane of my house. And as usual too those group of pigeons will fly eagerly to the rice that I have thrown from the kitchen. They flocked there for some times until everything is finished. Quite some times though watching them finishing the rice.
Towards the end of finishing the rice suddenly they flew to other houses who now throwing food as well for them. So those group of pigeons rush to that new food (being thrown) by the next door neighbours except 4 pigeons. Those 4 kept eating and picking the remaining rice until it was completely finish.
I watch them anxiously, by two different types of behaviour. First, those who really grab every food that comes (being thrown by my neighbours) regardless that they still have rice to finish in hand. Second, those who really stay to what already available in hand until it’s finished.
Two different types of behaviour which brings different effect and consequences. The former may fall into ‘gambling’ whether they will get the food because they have to compete with other birds to get it. Not to mention that whether the new food being thrown are better than the one that they are now eating. Whereas the latter utilising every single opportunity (the remaining rice) until it is completely done.
In some situation, the first group will trigger opportunity yet uncertainty, challenge and excitement. The second looks boring and dull, while completing the rice (task) without any challenges. But for sure it gives different result and rewards.
Either way it gives different perspectives and challenges. It is also to show that different people have different characters and tendency. Bottom line is different approach and attitudes in dealing with daily problem exist among people.
