Ph.D. (UTM), B.Eng.(UTM), CEng, MIChemE, CEM<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\nDr. Liew received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He is currently working as Senior Lecturer in Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), UTM Kuala Lumpur. He is also the associate member for Process Systems Engineering Center (PROSPECT) under Research Institute of Sustainable Environment (RISE). He specialises in Process Systems Engineering with emphasis on industrial energy and resources conservation using systematic algebraic process integration techniques.\u00a0He has qualified himself as the Chartered Engineers (CEng) under Engineering Council (UK), Chartered Member of Institution of Chemical Engineer (MIChemE) and the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) under ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS).\n\nTo date, he has authored 32 indexed articles in international refereed journals (12) and refereed conference proceedings (20) on his research work, and delivered keynote (4) invited lectures in several international conferences. He received Highly Commended in IChemE Malaysia Young Researcher Award 2017. His PhD thesis was selected as Top 3 Finalist for the European Federation of Chemical Engineer (EFCE) Excellence Award in Recognition of an Outstanding PhD Thesis on Computer Aided Process Engineering (CAPE) 2016.\n\nDr Liew is also involved in providing professional consultancy services to multinational companies, such as Shell (Malaysia) and MOL (Hungary). He has been involved in product development and commercialisation activities. He was the main contributor for the development of the Optimal Site\u00a9<\/em> software, which won gold award and jury award in INATEX exhibition (university level) and a silver medal in PECIPTA exhibition (international level).
