Strategic Planning with Khartoum State 26-28 Jan 2016

Kuala Lumpur, 26 January 2016 – UTM Razak School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (UTM Razak School) is hosting a delegation of 16 senior managers from Khartoum State Ministries who are attending a 2-week intensive Training of Trainers (TOT) program on Strategic Planning from 25th January to 5th February 2016.

The Khartoum State senior managers come from the Ministry of Finance (3 representatives), Ministry of Agriculture (3 representatives), Ministry of Health (4 representatives), Ministry of Human Development (3 representatives), and Ministry of Society Development (3 representatives). These senior managers are responsible for developing strategic planning for their respective ministries.

The TOT program offered by the UTM Razak School is a practical, hands-on workshop that highlights best practices, enabling participants to learn how to build and implement strategic planning using a balanced scorecard which can be applied in any commercial organisations or government bodies. The use of case studies in the program enable participants to be exposed to real-life examples, allowing better understanding, which in turn can affect and even enhance current practices.

Apart form participating in workshops, participants will also been given the opportunity to visit various agencies like the Malaysia Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST), and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), as well as other relevant agencies and bodies.

The TOT program run by the UTM Razak School is led by Datuk Prof Dr Mohd Zainai, who is the principal facilitator, and assisted by Prof Dr Awaluddin, Assoc. Prof. Dr Shafry of UTMSPACE, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ariffin from SRAD, Dr Bambang of IBS. These core group of facilitators are supported by the short course organiser and logistics committee comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr Roslizar, Dr Abdel Gader, Dr Raihana, Dr Saardin and Mr Norazmein.

UTM Razak School is privileged to have been given the opportunity to collaborate with Khrtoum State. It is believed that this TOT program can lead to more future impactful collaboration between UTM and the State of Khartoum, Sudan.
