Raja Kamarulzaman Raja Ibrahim received his B.Sc Degree in Material Physics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2002. After joined UTM he further his master degree in the area of Optoelectronics in University of Southampton where he work on a portable design of gas sensor based on correlation spectroscopy. He was awarded with Master Degree in Optoelectronics (2005). Then, he obtained PhD in Chemical Engineering & Analytical Science from The University of Manchester for his work on mid-infrared diagnostics on technological plasma applications (2011). His research interest including optical fibre sensor, laser applications, and infrared spectroscopy analysis for wide range applications in particularly for plasma diagnostics, gas and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) detection. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and serves as deputy director at Laser Centre UTM.
