About Me
Associate Professor Dr. Ir. Rini Asnida Abdullah, Professional Engineer (Ir.) and academician at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru. With over 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, my expertise lies in rock mechanics, slope stability, tunneling, and numerical modeling. Passionate about bridging the gap between academic research and real-world engineering solutions.
Throughout my career, I have supervised numerous postgraduate students, contributed to national and international research collaborations, and published extensively in both WoS and Scopus-indexed journals. I have also served as an examiner for Master’s and PhD theses, and actively contribute to the advancement of geotechnical knowledge through workshops, conferences, and consultancy work.
My mission is to nurture future engineers and researchers while continuing to lead impactful research that supports safer and more sustainable infrastructure development.
