The site visit was conducted on 23 April 2021 by PROSPECT. The program was done by Dr. Ho Wai Shin, my GTD mentor to help student to make a proposal for the research conducted form TNBR. We go there together with Prof Haslenda and Dr. Zarina. The students also present in the visit, Azharuddin, Haresth, and Seen You. The technician that handles the site visit is Azimin.
The research is the extend research from TNBR. The research is about the cooling system of the PV module. They use the nanofluid, normal coolant, and water to cool down the PV. The heat is then transfer to a tank of water using heat exchange. The result shows that the efficiency increase 7%. However, since the heat exchange requires motor, the net total power is unknown whether it is economical of not. The cost of the cooling system is 40% of the PV system. There is also a research on using cooling fin to cool down the PV module. However, the temperature only slightly reduced.
The visit also continues with another research conducted by TNBR This research includes the algae to trap CO2, the biogas based on food waste from hotel, and floating PV.
