Time: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Location: Level 3, P7
Student: Abdulgader (PhD)
With Main Supervisor
The main focus of the meeting is to check the objectives and the scopes of the research. The student provide with a high number of objectives and it is incorrect. The objectives provided is broad (not specific). The first objective focus on the power quality of the system. The student does not mention what type of power quality that want to be test (voltage sag, harmonic, voltage regulation,…). Nonetheless, this objective is not suitable since it is the local control. While the student should focus on the supervisory control. The student still unable to differentiate between the local and supervisory controls. The local control focus more on the power electronic and the supervisory control focus more on the renewable energy. The objectives function also not properly organized and break into several objectives. The focus of the objectives is to minimize the cost and has good reliability. The CO2 emission is neglected for now and the focus is only reliability and cost. The fuel cell is excluded from the simulation. The focus only on the PV, wind, battery, EV, load, and grid. The load is now specified to the housing area and the student is ask to search for the data. The scope of the time focus on the hourly data for minimum a year duration. The student is also ask to only use the conventional model provided in the review.
