Trip 1 to RB – 1-4 December 2018
On 1 till 4 April 2018, we made a first site visit to 2 villages at Royal Belum Forest namely Kampung Sungai Tiang and Kampung Sungai Kejar. The activities were divided into 2:
– survey of local stakeholder on their perceptions of the current water supply scheme which involves 40 respondents from the head of each household
– site visit and technical specification and measurement of clean water source from upstream and the water storage
The findings of the visit are:
- Based on the survey conducted, the respondents acknowledged the importance of improving their existing water supply system which is more efficient, low cost and easy self-maintenance
- Measurement and calculation on the relevant data have been made in preparation for the hydraulic ram pump and HDPE pipes to be installed in our next site visit.
