Dr Nor Ruwaida Jamian is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Process Engineering, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur Campus. She obtained her B. Eng in Chemical Engineering from UTM in 2007. Dr Ruwaida started her career as a Tutor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering (previously known as Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Natural Resources), UTM in the same year. In 2009, she completed her M.Eng in Chemical Engineering from the same university. She was then transfer to MJIIT in 2011 and completed her PhD in 2017.
Dr Ruwaida is an active member of the Air Resources Research Laboratory in MJIIT and has a strong interest in air pollution related research area. She has been characterizing the particulate emission from the palm oil mill boiler and investigate the air pollution control system in the field. She also experience in handling the AERMOD software. Currently she has secure a grant for the characterization and the assessment of ambient aerosol in fine size fraction. In addition, she is currently co-supervise a PhD student on volatile organic carbon (VOC) adsorption using a new formulated filter aids for filter bag application.
