The term \u201ctraditional\u00a0teaching<\/span>\u201d relies mainly on a method that utilizes textbooks, lecture notes, memorization and recitation techniques. Delivering\u00a0education<\/span> through a traditional format sees no priority in catering to the rich and diverse learner population or the need to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills, but instead directs learners to assume a non-thinking and information-receiving role [1].\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Traditional\u00a0teaching<\/span>\u00a0methods are defined and described as methods that usually rely on\u00a0lectures<\/span>\u00a0and notes-taking and that are often very teacher centric without the use of any\u00a0teaching<\/span> aids [2-3, 4-5].<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Non-traditional<\/strong> or non-conventional teaching<\/span>\u00a0methods<\/strong> are commonly known as innovative\/modern\u00a0teaching<\/span> methods that involve the use of technology, animation, special effects and are generally learner self-directed and interactive in nature (for example, the use of computers and videos to enhance delivery content) [6-7].\u00a0<\/a><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
