RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Jan. 1990 – Dec. 1992 Develop a mathematical model to analyse the structure.  The project title is: “Development of microcomputer software for analysis, design and structural drawing detailing”.  This project is under ‘Research and Consultancy Unit (UPP)’ and monitored by Prof. Madya Dr. Nasly Mohamed Ali.
Dec. 1991 – Jun 1994 Conduct a research (at UTM) entitled “Analysis of stress using boundary element method for timber beam”.
Jan. 1993 – July 1993 Conduct a research on Boundary Element Method at Wessex Institute Technology, University of Portsmouth, U.K.
Jan. 1992 – Dis. 1995 Conduct a research under IRPA project (Vot 62106 / 62099).  The title of research is “Ultimate strength of structural timber” – Member.
April 1996 – 1999 Conduct a research under IRPA project (Vot 72041).  The title of research is “The Performance of Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam) Structural Members – Ultimate Strength and Behaviour” – Member.
Dec. 1997– Feb. 2003 Conduct a research (at UTM) entitled “Ultimate strength prediction for solid and glulam timber beam – elasto-plastic theory approach”.
1999 – 2003 Conduct a research under IRPA project (Vot: 72214).  The title of research is “Ultimate Strength Prediction of Glulam Beam – Plastic Approach” – Member.
1.5.2004 – 30.4.2005 Conduct a research under Fundamental project (Vot: 75104).  The title of research is “Study of mathematical model for bending strength prediction of timber beam structure” – Project Leader.
2006-2007 Conduct a research under Fundamental project (Vot: 78019).  The title of research is “Behaviour of Strengthened Timber Beams using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer” – Member.
Oct. 2007- Mar. 2009 Conduct a research under Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) (Vot: 78210).  The research title is “Integrating Surface Models and Photogrammetric Digital Image Correlation in Determining Displacement and Strain Measurements in Experimental Mechanics”.  Member.
1.5.2012 – 30.4.2013 Conduct a research under Research University Grant (Cost Center No.: Q.J130000.2622.05J87).  The title of project is “Innovative Method of Connection of Building Structure subjected to Lateral Load” – Project Leader.
1.10.2016 – 30.9.2017 Conduct a research under Research University Grant (Tier 2). The title of the project is “Simulation Study on different configuration of Base Column in Lateral Resistance of Diagrid System” – Member.
1.2.2018 – 31.1.2019 Conduct a research under Research University Grant.  The title of project is “Mathematical Model to Predict Self-Healing Process in Concrete using Bacteria” – Project Leader.
1.6.2017-31.5.2018 Conduct a research under Research University Grant (Tier 2). The title of the project is “Investigation on Flexural Behaviour of Reinforced Concrete Beam Incorporating Ceramic Waste” – Member.
1.1.2019-31.12.2021 Conduct a research under Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS).  The research title is “Ductility and Energy Dissipation of Steel Plate Shear Wall System”.  Member.
