All PhD and Master by Research students Intake Sem 1 20162017, Sem 2 20162017 and Sem 1 20172018, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Senate Standing Committee for Examination and Graduation Meeting No. 17/2016/2017 dated 16 August 2017 have approved these additional conditions as part of the assessment of Research Part 1 (Proposal Presentation/PhD and Master Proposal Evaluation/mini-viva) whereby students are required to pass the General University Elective and Research Methodology. With reference to the above, students must complete both courses during their first year of study. The additional conditions come into effect beginning Semester 1 Session 2017/2018. Please ensure that you comply with this new circular. Please find attached the circular of the above additional conditions.
