Food For Travel?

What a good things about night market or pasar malam? FOOD!!! ? i really enjoy local/street food while travelling especially in Thailand.

Eating: It’s one of life’s great pleasures. And for travelers, it’s even more than that. When you’re traveling, food isn’t just about sustenance or even enjoyment. It’s culture, authenticity and experience. It’s interaction with locals. It’s life at its simplest and its most exciting.

There are so many dishes in other countries that you would never try if you do not traveled outside Malaysia. Traveling somewhere new opens your eyes and your taste buds to a whole new range of authentic flavor profiles and foods that you would’ve otherwise been missing out on.

nasi + telo + chicken = price less than RM7

It’s so cool going to a different country and seeing how much you can tell about a culture and what they value purely based on their food.

Food also helps you meet new people. It is always cool to strike up a conversation with a stranger at the table over about their dessert that looks just as good as the picture on the menu. You may make a new friend and try something new that you may never have thought to try. I tried this couple of times, just talk to stranger next to you. Who knows.. might be he’s your jodoh? ?

Going to a new country and trying new dishes and experiencing new flavors means you get to come home with so many things to try in your own kitchen. One of the best parts of traveling and trying new things is to bring home that knowledge you didn’t have before to use it, so take advantage of it.

Those of us traveling on a budget don’t have to miss out on amazing food experiences. Just follow your guts and fill your stomach with street food / local food while enjoying sightseeing & cultures in others countries.
Safe travel guys! ?✌
