I am passionate about using computer science and artificial intelligence to create practical solutions that make a difference in education, healthcare, and accessibility. My work combines technical innovation with social impact, focusing on areas such as:
-
Sign Language Recognition & Learning Technologies
I design and develop systems like the Malaysian Sign Language Tutorial (MASRETT), which use machine learning, transfer learning, and computer vision to support sign language learning and improve communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. -
Advanced Deep Learning for Gesture Analysis
I explore hybrid deep learning models that integrate Depthwise Separable Convolution (DSC) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to better understand and process complex spatial–temporal patterns, especially in gesture recognition. -
Privacy & Security in Medical Imaging
My research also looks at image steganography as a way to protect patient data and ensure secure transmission of sensitive medical images, while evaluating the latest algorithms and trends in this area. -
Innovating Computer Science Education
I am deeply involved in improving how we teach theoretical computer science—from automata to computability—through interactive materials, online platforms, and creative assessment methods. -
Data Science for Education & Social Good
I apply data science and big data analytics to evaluate student performance, outreach programs, and large-scale digital initiatives, with the goal of improving outcomes and decision-making.
Across all these areas, my aim is to bridge theory and practice, using research not just to advance knowledge but to deliver real-world impact.
