About Me

Welcome to my academic page. I am Ir. Dr. Muhammad Yusof Mohd Noor, a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

My teaching and research interests focus on optical fiber sensors, optical communication systems, and intelligent signal processing, with a particular emphasis on specialty optical fiber design structure, machine learning-assisted sensing, and smart monitoring for industrial and environmental applications.

I am passionate about bridging fundamental photonics research with real-world engineering solutions, empowering students and collaborators to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s technological advancement and sustainability goals.
