2004-2006:\u00a0 Vice President,\u00a0 International Water Association<\/strong> (IWA, based in London). Task: To develop strategies and implementation plan to increase membership and participation of water professionals in the world, particularly among developing countries.<\/p>\n

2002-2004:\u00a0 Member, Strategic Council of the International Water Association<\/strong> (IWA, based in London). Task: The highest committee in the organization, consists of professionals from 80 countries. The Council member meet twice a year, and deciding on the direction and policy of the organization.<\/p>\n

2000-2005:\u00a0 Member, Publication Committee<\/strong>. IWA London. Members: Prof. Mogens Henze (Denmark Technical University), David Dixon (Univ of Melbourne), Prof Ralf Ottendahl (Unv of Berlin), Prof Mark van Loosdrecht (Delft Univ of Technology, the Netherlands) & Zaini Ujang (UTM).<\/p>\n

2000-2004:\u00a0 Editorial Board Member<\/strong>, IWA Journal of Water Science & Technology<\/em>. IWA Publishing, London.<\/p>\n

2003-2005:\u00a0 Editorial Board Member<\/strong>, IWA Journal of Water and Environmental Management Series<\/em>. IWA Publishing, London.<\/p>\n

2006-2007: Author of Chapter 6 (\u201cWastewater Management System\u201d, with Prof. Mogens Henze<\/strong>. A project by UNESCO on publication of Urban Water Management<\/em>. (coordinated by UNESCO-IHE Delft, The Netherlands.<\/p>\n

2000-2004:\u00a0 Secretary<\/strong>, Specialist Group on Water and Waste Management for Developing Countries. International Water Association, London. Expected to become Chairman in September 2004.<\/p>\n

2002 – : Co-editor (with Prof. Mogens Henze), IWA Book Series on Sustainable Technology for Developing Countries<\/strong>. IWA Publishing, London (Three books on the first phase: Municipal Wastewater Management for Developing Countries n Integrated Solutions for Industrial Pollution Control in Developing Countries & River Rehabilitation in Developing Countries).<\/p>\n
