NORAFFANDY YAHAYA is a Professor of Learning Technologies at School of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2023. He is currently a Chair, School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He obtained his PhD in ICT in Education from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He was a Head of Department at Department of Mathematics & Science Education and Creative Multimedia for 8 Years and appointed as Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation of Faculty of Education until 2018. Noraffandy has research background in Online Learning and ICT in Education. He has conducted numerous studies on students’ interaction in Online Learning Environment, Learning Analytics and Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). He has been published more than 80 papers in Web of Science and Scopus Indexed journal in the research area of Online Learning, ICT in Education and the use of technology in teaching and learning. Dr Noraffandy also a Reviewer for Q1/Q2 papers in Computers & Education, IEEE Transaction on Education, Technology in Society, Interactive Learning Environment, BMC Medical Education and Science Progress. Noraffandy has also been invited as keynote speaker by universities in China, Pakistan and Malaysia. He has been a supervisor to more than 25 completed master degree students and 20 completed PhD students. Currently, he has 11 PhD students under his supervision. He has also been appointed as external examiner for universities in Malaysia and Australia for doctoral theses and has been an assessor for Master dissertation for university in New Zealand.
