DR. AMIR PUTRA MD SAAD is currently a senior lecturer in Department of Applied Mechanics and Design in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is by profession a mechanical engineer with special interest in bio-mechanics, bio-degradation and bio-tribology. He obtained a bachelor of engineering (mechanical) and master of engineering (mechanical) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Passionate about knowledge and wisdom, upon completing his studies in master level, he further studies at PhD level in mechanical engineering at the same institution specialized in bio-degradation integrating bio-mechanical conditions. While he is completing the postgraduate studies, he had involved in consultation works which be appointed as mechanical design engineer. One of the job scopes was designing the pipe lay out for new plant and equipment use for oil and gas company. Another consultation works he had involved was optimization performance of fluid transport in flash dryer pipe using computational fluid dynamics. He graduated Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Mechanical Engineering in 2017.
