Dr Zaid Omar, a young faculty member from the Electrical Engineering Faculty of UTM represented Malaysia in the FameLab International Finals held in Cheltenham, United Kingdom.
During the interview with Astro Awani, Zaid highlighted the need for effective science communication by scientists or researchers to bridge the gap between scientists and society.
Science should be communicated in a more informal way in order to engage the public so that they can appreciate science in more meaningful ways.
The aim is to spark interest and instigate passion in science, especially among young Malaysians.
Well done Dr Zaid! You have made Malaysia and UTM proud!
