Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is committed to contributing ideas, knowledge, and expertise to promote sustainable development goals (SDGs) in its green campus and the nation through various initiatives, including corporate social responsibility (CSR). Due to this commitment, the University collaborated with some Malaysian universities to promote sustainability and energy efficiency in Malaysian university campuses. This network of universities has opened the call for academic and non-academics to participate as presenters and non-presenters in the free of charge 1st Malaysia Sustainable University Network National Conference (MYSUN2022). The conference will be conducted on 15-16 March 2022 in a hybrid mode (online via a videoconferencing platform and at Universiti Malaysia Sabah).

This conference is accompanied by a workshop on campus sustainability-related topics. It is organized under the Erasmus+ CBHE funded project named “Malaysia Sustainable University Campus Network” or MYSUN, founded by two European universities and eight Malaysian universities, including Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The network aims to promote Malaysian University Campuses as “living laboratories” for sustainability and energy efficiency.

Researchers, scholars, engineers, technologists, and students at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, especially in management, engineering, social sciences, climate, and disaster resilience areas related to sustainability pillars, are invited to participate in the conference and workshop. The conference will enable delegates to exchange ideas and research experiences and establish research collaborations with global partners.

The free of charge and hybrid conference and workshop are limited to a target number of participants. Applications will be closed when the target number is reached. Interested participants are highly recommended to proceed to submit early applications to be considered.
