Swissboring, a subsidiary of Trevi, is undertaking foundation works for a new 54-storey tower in Dubai.
The project is a joint venture between the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) and Brookfield Property Partners.
Swissboring is the subcontractor for the enabling work of the 282m high ICD Brookfield Place, which has been designed by the British architect Foster and Partners.
The project started in March this year, and is expected to last for approximately 14 months. The work requires the construction of a 12,000m2 diaphragm wall, using 850 piles, all with a diameter between 1,000mm and 1,500mm, and more than 2,000 ground anchors.
The tower will contain more than 83,600m2 of office space and connect to a 14,000m2, five-storey retail centre. There will also be a 1,700m2 public area flanked by restaurants that will feature regular arts and cultural events. The complex will include parking space for 2,700 cars.
