It is with great pleasure to announce that the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) will be organising the ATU-Net Virtual University Presidents Forum (VUPF2021) hosted by UTM as Network Host and Secretariat. We are pleased to invite youto this prestigious event as it will be attended by university presidents, vice presidents, senior representatives of universities, members of university alliances and industry, and other stakeholders of higher education including university students. Details of the programme are as follows:

Themed “Brave New World of Higher Education: Realities and Vision”, ATU-Net VUPF2021 is a platform to discuss current issues relating to higher education, and to outline strategy and action plans to improve collaboration and cooperation among participating universities. This year, VUPF2021 aims to explore the forces that are reshaping higher education in Asia and all over the world, including the challenges we had faced or are currently facing as well as the innovative solutions to overcome them. The conversation will lead to a shared understanding of the new realities and will provide an essential foundation towards reaching a unifying vision for higher education.
Here are the programme highlights:
DAY 1 – 22 NOVEMBER 2021 (MONDAY)For the first day, the welcoming remarks will be delivered by the Chair of ATU-Net, followed by the Keynote Address from the EU Ambassador to Malaysia. Roundtable Session with university presidents from the Philippines, India and the United Kingdom will be featured as well as the presentation of students’ winning project of the recent ATU-Net Hackathon 2021.DAY 2 – 23 NOVEMBER 2021 (TUESDAY)For the second day, the Deputy Chair of ATU-Net will be delivering the welcoming remarks. As a form of appreciation to our supportive member institutions, there will be the ATU-Net Member Appreciation Ceremony of which we will showcase all the presidents/vice-chancellors/rectors of ATU-Net member institutions through a montage and also a group photo. Alliance Roundtable Session will feature Directors and Chair of three strategic international alliances before we proceed with the ATU-Net awards ceremony towards the end of the programme.
