Dr Chong Chun Shiong holds a PhD in Biology, Master of Science (Biosciences) and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Biology. He joined Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2006. His area of expertise is in microbial enzyme technology. His research of interest is on microbial enzymes for industrial and environmental applications. The current research is focused on identification and characterisation of novel bacteria from environment and microbial deconstruction of lignocellulose biomass.
