BANGKOK, 28th and 29th October 2019- The Dean of Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Prof. Ali Selamat has led the delegation which was joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Fauzi Othman, Dr.Okano Takasei, and Dr. Rahayu Tasnim for a visit to Thai Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) and Tokai University, Bangkok to learn from and share thoughts on future collaborations in Japanese based education in technology and industrial management, together with other ASEAN members.

Outcomes of the visit:

Meeting at Thai Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI)

1. Plan to offer the Master of Japanese Business Administration at MJIIT
2. Plan to set up the Monozukuri Training Lab sponsored by Japanese Companies
3. Discussion on student exchange program, for short term and transfer credit
4. Extending the LOC with TNI as it will be expiring soon in February 2020
5. Participating in student exchange program called “Cross Culture Program 2020” which will be held on March 15^th till 28th, 2020 by the TNI Business Administration Faculty

Meeting with Tokai University, at King Mongkut University of Technology Bangkok

1. Discussion about Joint Degree with Tokai University for ESE and MPE Department
2. Discussion on student exchange program, for short term and transfer credit
3. Discussion on setting up Japanese Language centre for conducting Japanese course for MJIIT students.
