Plenary lecture entitled ‘Climate Action: Why are some countries poorly rated based on the SDG index?’ was delivered by Datuk Seri Prof. Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, a prominent figure by his vast experiences in SDG approach.

Application is now open for Master of Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (Joint Degree)/JMSES for September 2020 intake.

It is a 2 years (4 semesters) program in which students will have the opportunity to spend a year in University of Tsukuba, Japan during the 2nd and 3rd semesters of study. 1st and 4th semesters will be in MJIIT, UTM Kuala Lumpur.

Entry requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology or Engineering or related field with CGPA of 3.0 from institution of higher learning recognised by the UTM Senate. For other degrees than those mentioned above or CGPA of less than 3.0, minimum working experience of two years in the related field is required.
2. Selected applicant must sit for Oral Entrance Examination (Joint Interview)
3. Selected applicants must appoint a MJIIT supervisor AND must provide an environmental-related research proposal prior to the Oral Entrance Examination.
4. English language requirement: IELTS Band 5.5 or 525 < TOEFL < 550.
