Sharing this thorough review on crosslinked polymer membrane. Enjoy.

“Polymeric membranes for gas separations have experienced rapid growth over the past few decades, and extensive research has been performed to develop high-performance polymer membrane materials with outstanding stability and durability. Cross-linking of polymers has been demonstrated as an effective approach to improve the resistance to physical aging as well as plasticization induced by condensable gases like CO2. In this Perspective, we examine recently reported, innovative strategies that have produced cross-linked polymeric membranes with attractive separation performance as well as resistance to plasticization and physical aging. The discussion will cover the state-of-the-art design strategies that are focused on cross-linking chemistry and innovative cross-linked network structures, with an emphasis on the effect of cross-linking on membrane properties. New research directions are proposed for advancing the development of cross-linked polymer membrane materials to realize the full potential of this class of membrane materials for gas separation applications and beyond.”
