Part 3 Erasmus+ international mobility program – Helsinki, Finland

Why Finland?

Because i have never been to any scandinavian country before, or travel to any parts of four season country during summer. so i guess this would be a great exposure for me. And it was. The thought of travelling alone to a foreign country makes me nervous but alhamdulillah Ms Rohaizan from UTM JB also applied for the same program.

Erasmus+ provided a grant funding for this program : EURO1500 for a return flight and accommodation. Metropolia International office staff has been so tremendous in coordinating our trip even before it happened. They helped us to book the hotel and flight and the balance of the grant was later paid to us in cash.

ERASMUS+ ATTACHMENT : UTM TO METROPOLIA UNIV, FINLAND

https://www.metropolia.fi/en/about-us/

November last year i have applied for Erasmus+ training program to Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland.

Pre-arrangement has been been well between both institution and coordinators from UTM International Office have been a great help.

i will be going with another officer, Ms Rohaizan from UTM CCIN. Never met her before so i am looking forward for this trip together so i can know her better.

Me and Ms Elina from Metropolia had a brief meeting when  she was in the country to attend APAIE 2019 recently. The date has has been confirmed — 10-14 June 2019. Flight ticket was purchased by Ms Tiina, from Metropolia International Office who is coordinating our visit, as well as our accommodation.

I have yet to prepare any presentation slides, and the thought that i will be leaving during the fanfare of Raya celebrations may sadden me a bit but my spirit is high in anticipating the Finland adventures nevertheless!
