Biography
Dr. Lin Feng Ng is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. He obtained his PhD in 2021 from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), where he was later awarded the PhD Best Thesis Award in 2022. During his postgraduate studies, he also earned a silver medal at the UTeM Research and Innovation Expo in 2015. To date, Dr. Ng has published 46 journal articles, 2 conference papers, and 18 book chapters, all indexed in Scopus/ISI. His work has garnered over 1,000 citations, resulting in an h-index of 19 and an i10-index of 34. In 2024, he received the IOP Outstanding Reviewer Award for Engineering Research Express, along with the IOP Trusted Reviewer status. He is currently serving on the organizing committees of several prestigious international conferences and holds the position of Review Editor for Frontiers in Materials: Polymeric and Composite Materials. Additionally, Dr. Ng is an active reviewer for numerous high-impact journals and has reviewed more than 300 research manuscripts to date. His research interests include fibre-metal laminates, polymer composites, hybrid composites, synthetic and natural fibres, mechanical characterisation, fatigue life assessment, and energy absorption.
